It is a pleasure to bring to you a selection of the art that I have created over the past year.

Over the years I have created paintings, sculpture and murals for businesses, churches and friends but only recently have I pursued my artistic interests full time.

I was born in Corvallis, Oregon and have spent the last 40 years living and working in Oregon and Washington. Along the way I accumulated visions of places and faces that seemed, to me, to say something. A few of those have found there way into my art. Many more are waiting to be reborn.

My first "oil painting" was done with a variety of left-over house paints when I was about twelve. Like many kids, I was encouraged as a hobbyist but clearly informed that art could not pay the rent. Parents and counselors urged a more "practical" career. What had been a passion became an occasional night class or a sculpture for a relative's church or a birthday portrait for a friend.

Two years ago, with middle age as a viable excuse, I walked away from my job to take a fresh look and rediscover my old dreams. After a month in isolation, I moved to Eugene where I cleared out the attic to use for a studio and dug out paints that had hardened in the tube.

The pieces you see here are some of what has happened since. I provide here several works for your enjoyment and purchase.
